Please read and agree to the following conditions of service.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE IMPORTANT: ESTIMATES ARE BASED UPON A PRELIMINARY INSPECTION OF YOUR EQUIPMENT. UPON COMPLETE INSPECTION, IF THE COST OF REPAIR WILL EXCEED THIS ESTIMATE, NIKON RESERVES THE RIGHT TO RE-ESTIMATE THE REPAIR SERVICE. SHIPPING: NIKON CANADA INC. ("NIKON") will determine the means of shipping for the return of equipment unless otherwise requested and paid for by the customer.
PHOTO EQUIPMENT 180-DAY SERVICE LIMITED WARRANTY: NIKON warrants that the repair service will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of 180 days from the date of the repair service. During such period, NIKON will repair without charge any defect in material or workmanship in the serviced equipment which is related to the repair service performed by NIKON.
CAMCORDERS - SCANNERS 90-DAY SERVICE LIMITED WARRANTY: NIKON warrants that the repair service will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of 90 days from the date of the repair service. During such period, NIKON will repair without charge any defect in material or workmanship in the serviced equipment which is related to the repair service performed by NIKON.
THIS SERVICE LIMITED WARRANTY WILL NOT APPLY TO THE FOLLOWING:
This warranty extends to the original consumer purchaser only and is not assignable or transferable.
This warranty shall not apply to any product which has been subjected to misuse, alteration, abuse, negligence or accident, general wear and tear or has had its serial number altered or removed.
This warranty shall not apply to any defects or damage directly or indirectly caused by the use of unauthorized replacement parts and/or service performed by unauthorized personnel.
This warranty shall not apply to any batteries, or damage directly or indirectly caused by batteries.
ANY PRODUCT OR PART THEREOF THAT HAS BEEN REPLACED OR SUBJECT TO A REFUND BECOMES THE PROPERTY OF NIKON CANADA INC. AND WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY LAW INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE SHALL BE OF A DURATION SET FORTH ABOVE FROM THE DATE OF THE REPAIR SERVICE. THE WARRANTIES HEREIN ARE EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. IN NO EVENT SHALL NIKON BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, RELATED TO ANY SERVICE REPAIR PERFORMED BY NIKON, EVEN IF NIKON HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
SOME JURISDICTIONS SUCH AS PROVINCES OR TERRITORIES, DO NOT ALLOW (A) LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION LASTS OR (B) THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES THEREFORE THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION. WHERE ANY TERM OF THIS WARRANTY IS RESTRICTED OR PROHIBITED BY THE LAWS OF YOUR JURISDICTION, IT SHALL BE NULL AND VOID, HOWEVER THE REMAINDER OF THIS WARRANTY SHALL REMAIN IN EFFECT.
In order to obtain performance of the warranty obligations, the original consumer purchaser must return the Nikon product together with the NIKON service invoice either in person or addressed to one of the repair facilities identified below.

Except where restricted or prohibited by law, in returning this product for repair or replacement under this warranty, the original consumer purchaser must prepay all postage, shipping transportation, insurance and delivery costs, and the product must be delivered in packaging and shipping materials that afford an adequate degree of protection. Nikon Canada Inc. will not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred in connection with the return of this product.
